Getting Started

UNLESS YOU FOLLOW

The Proper Way To Prepare Tea
in complete seriousness

  1. lay aside the tea or herbal blend of your choice
  2. heat water, use fresh or bottled water (for a real treat use a more expensive  alpine water) Water quality is essential to a good brew.
  3. For black teas, bring the water to a rolling boil, mind however we don't want to "over boil"
  4. For green teas, bring the water up to just the boiling point, (steamy)
  5. MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THE ENTIRE PROCESS- place your tea into the mug before putting the water into the mug, after you have placed the tea in the mug, pour the water on top of the tea in the mug. (this is oxidizing the tea)
  6. sweetness is a big part for me, but there are ways to avoid throwing 95 packs of sweet and low into the equation, honey has a lot of positives naturally however the entire beehive in your cup well to be frank with you is fucking disgusting. About a tablespoon or two if you really have a sweet tooth per cup is nice
  7. black- steep for 5 minutes
  8. green- and delicate, smaller leaves steep for 3 minutes
  9. If you like milk in your tea, add and blend thoroughly
  10. enjoy!
